The custom animated mark features a flag flowing from France to the United States, celebrating the ceremonial moment this summer in which Los Angeles becomes the next host city of the Olympic Games for the third time in its history.

This is just one of many versions of the Aro Pride Flag. The design was adapted from an earlier version of the Aromantic flag by Tumblr user Cameron in 2014. Community members opted to switch to hues of green instead of yellow because many have sensitivity issues to the color. The green hues represent the spectrum of romanticism and all arospec identities.

I’ve lived in square states and red states where a Rainbow Flag in a bar window meant safety. Across borders and timezones, the Pride Flag is a symbol universally recognized by those who know to look for it. The stripes of the flag mean nothing on their own, only when they are brought together do they represent a community.

Described as warm and welcoming, the flag’s sunset tones aim to celebrate inclusivity and gender nonconformity. The flag was designed collectively online in 2018 using a public poll. The Philadelphia Pride Flag is a new version of the classic Rainbow Flag. The Philly Pride Flag features the six rainbow stripes plus two black and brown stripes to represent the BIPOC+ Queer community. The flag was designed in Philadelphia in 2017. Since then, the Philadelphia Rainbow Flag has quickly been adopted as a symbol of inclusivity and progress around the world. The Nonbinary Flag represents life beyond the binary. The flag was originally created by Kye Rowan in 2014. The Nonbinary Pride Flag represents a spectrum of gender identity and a rejection of binary genders. This design exists alongside the Genderqueer flag, but doesn’t replace it.

The Gender Fluid Pride Flag celebrates those who reject and bend traditional gender binaries. The creator, JJ Poole, created the flag design after being disappointed with the lack of symbolic representation within the Genderfluid or Genderflux community.
