We occasionally have adult German Shepherds available or older German Shepherd puppies available. If this the case it is simply because we have other prospects to compete with. Some of the reasons these dogs are available could be because of size , dentition ,lacking drive, or gun shyness. When competing in conformation there is a breed standard. Size is a part of the breed standard. Another reason may be the dentition. If a GSD puppy doesn't develop a correct bite that is also a fault that would prevent them from competing. Another reason could be lacking drive. Since we train in IGP on a weekly basis my dogs need to have certain drives. Prey drive, food drive, willingness to please, and stability around gun fire. All of these are factors we take into place when we decide which male we want to breed with. Our females carry these attributes and the main reason we choose the lines we have.  These factors do not affect the dogs lifestyle typically and offer the opportunity to own what would be considered a top prospect with potential. If you have any interest in owning an already trained and socialized dog this is opportunity  to do such.
