The rename of Happy Campers was inspired by his late dog, Happy, Pulliam said, as well as the common idiom "happy camper."

Personally I find the Asexual flag to be quite depressing. Black, grey, white then a dark desaturated purple. Other lgbt groups have brightly coloured flags that are fun and make you energised and fun. I feel like our flag kinda gives off the vibe that being asexual is sad and it doesn’t make me feel very proud. Asexuality is a sexual orientation where a person doesn't experience sexual attraction towards anyone. This is a place for asexuals, demisexuals, aromantics, gray-a's, questioning, supporters, folks just interested, and everyone in between.

Pulliam said he wasn't even looking for an RV when he contacted Gardiner over a year ago, but rather a used Rolls Royce Gardiner was looking to sell.

If customers aren't sure if they are interested in purchasing an RV or camper of their own, Pulliam said Happy Campers has a rental program, too.

But Gardiner wanted to retire, Pulliam said, and after asking him several times, Pulliam finally gave in and bought the RV sales and service business from Gardiner.
