A Davidson County Chancellor ruled this week that Williamson County can remove the image of the Confederate flag from its county seal because it is not considered a memorial.

The group's attorney Edward Phillips is arguing for more communication. He says he believes the two groups think the flag's appearance on the seal is racist and added that while he understood Chancellor Moskal's rationale behind the ruling, an appeal of the decision within 30 days is a possibility.
